Artbotics Workshop

WHEN
Sat, April 18
9:30 am - 12:30 pm

WHAT

Artbotics is a program that has been designed to introduce students to art, computer science, and robotics, by creating interactive, kinetic sculptures.

As robots are increasingly being developed to be used in the real world, they need to be able to interact with humans. Art and design are increasingly important and will help transform robotics, technology, and our lives as robots spread into areas such as rehabilitation, eldercare, and other assistive or educational applications.

Join us to learn how to build and program interactive robots using LEGO EV3 robotics kits. Originally developed at UMASS Lowell, Artbotics techniques are used in courses and workshops around the country. This video shows some of the projects people have completed in other artbotics workshops:

The event is ideal for people aged 7 to 127. Kids under 17 should come with a grown-up. We will provide a snack and all materials needed for the workshop.

Please register to let us know you are coming. Space is limited.

    HI Andrew,

I was hoping to see you at Quarters last night. Any chance you would be willing to meet with me about getting some Scratch workshops going on at Miles’s school?

    Hope all is well!

Oops, just realized the Artbotics workshop date does not work for us. Please delete Kyana Otero and Florence Sullivan. I hope you offer artbotics again, we are very interested in that workshop.

I waited too long and now it’s full! Is there a waitlist for this? Ronan would love to keep up his robotics intake…
