Code with Python

Wed, May 2
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Learn to program with Python! We’ll make games with Python, learning basic programming concepts along the way.

Python is one of the most widely used programming languages today. Python libraries enable you to easily write code for everything from making games and automating tasks, to creating websites and machine learning. Python has a nice syntax that makes it a good language for new programmers.

No previous Python experience necessary. If you’ve coded in Scratch or another language previously, some of the same concepts will be helpful for these projects. You should be comfortable typing on the keyboard.

This class will meet at the MGHPCC on May 2 from 1:00 to 2:30, and May 16, 23, 30, and June 6 from 11:30 to 1:00. Bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Any chance this course or a portion of it could be offered outside of traditional school hours? I think my son would love to attend but he’s in school when this class is being held.
