Code your own App!

Sat, October 20
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Create your own App!

We’ll build an app that can take photos using your devices camera. Then write a note, add funny touch ups to your friends, or draw on cute photos of those puppies. You’ll be able to share your edited photo with your family and friends!

MIT App Inventor is an innovative beginner’s introduction to programming and app creation that transforms the complex language of text-based coding into visual, drag-and-drop building blocks. The simple graphical interface grants even an inexperienced novice the ability to create a basic, fully functional app within an hour or less.

You will learn:

  • Basic block programming and mobile app development.
  • How to create your own mobile apps.
  • How to share your creations.
