Cybersecurity Workshop: The Case of the Amherst Fire

Learn about cyber security and digital forensics with UMass Graduate Women in STEM and Holyoke Codes!

In today’s hyper connected world and as more of our information moves into the digital realm, it is increasingly important to be able to protect online information.

At this workshop you will be introduced to the big ideas of cyber security and digital forensics. You’ll learn how to crack password security, break encryption, decipher cryptography, find hidden information in images with stenography, and recover information in deleted files. We’ll then use your new skills to solve a mysterious case!

This event is hosted by the UMass Graduate Women in STEM (GWIS) organization and Holyoke Codes.

Open to girls grades 9-12
Register by Sunday November 1.
Maximum 30 girls; a wait-list will be available if the workshop fills before the registration deadline.
