Sun, October 25 - Sun, November 22
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
This class will be an introduction to the object oriented programming language Java. An overview of the course topics can be found below. Lectures, practice problems, and larger scale projects will prepare programmers for future development and will aid them in future courses. Many high school AP Computer Science classes and college courses are based on Java. Java is one of the most widely used languages in industry.
The course will meet for 5 classes (10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, and 11/22). The cost for all 5 classes is $100.
No previous programming experience necessary, but it would help if you have some experience in python or some other programming language. If you do not want to use repl.it (a web-based editor), please have a functional editor already installed and please know how to use it before class.
Class will be on Zoom. We suggest having a second display so you can easily see both the class and your own code at the same time. We have monitors available to loan for the class.
