Inventing with Arduino

Sat, March 11
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn how to invent things using the Arduino microcontroller and lots of LEDs, sensors, breadboards, and resistors!

We’ll be using a Scratch extension to program the Arduino, which makes things soooo much easier. No need to remember the semi-colons at the end of the lines anymore! Just drag-and-drop some blocks and create a “Cutting-Edge Burglar Detector” for your room, a toothbrushing helmet, your own electronic instruments, or pretty much anything you can imagine. We’ll show you how to get started and how to connect all those wires to your breadboard!

What are you going to make?

I just signed up one of my children and hoped to sign up my 2 others for the lab on Saturday but it says it is filled. Can you let me know if it would be possible to bring them as well?

We only have 10 Arduino kits so we’ve limited registration. It’s possible that some people who registered won’t be able to make it, but it’s not guaranteed. They’re welcome to come if they don’t mind sharing a kit if needed.
