Python I

Tue, September 1 - Thu, September 24
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn to program with Python! We’ll make games with Python, learning basic programming concepts along the way.

Python is one of the most widely used programming languages today. Python libraries enable you to easily write code for everything from making games and automating tasks, to creating websites and machine learning. Python has a nice syntax that makes it a good language for new programmers.

This class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 for 8 sessions in September (9/1, 9/3, 9/8, 9/10, 9/15, 9/17, 9/22, 9/24). The cost of $160 includes all 8 classes.

No previous Python experience necessary. Ages 11 through adults are welcome. If you’ve coded in Scratch or another language previously, some of the same concepts will be helpful for these projects. You should be comfortable typing on the keyboard.

Class will be on Zoom. We suggest having a second display so you can easily see both the class and your own code at the same time. We have monitors available to loan for the class.
