Code is everywhere. Come learn to create your own code!
Join us for this all-girls Scratch workshop and learn how to use sound and music in your Scratch projects.
Sound and music are a great part of Scratch. In this workshop we will learn how to add sound into projects. Sound makes games more fun and engaging and can be an important part of telling stories. We will create an animated, musical beatbox of our own names – our own personal soundtrack!
This workshop is part of series that Holyoke Codes is offering to help people get involved in coding in a supportive environment. Using Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the incredible worldwide Scratch online community.
All levels of scratch experience are welcome to attend. The event is ideal for girls aged 7 to 127. Girls under 17 should come with an adult. Laptops are available at the MGHPCC but please bring one, if you you’d like.
We will have headphones available, but please bring your own headphones if you like.
Please register to let us know you are coming. Space is limited.
