Sumobots!

WHEN

WHAT

Come learn how to build a Sumobot!

Sumobots are a modern twist on the ancient Japanese sport of Sumo wrestling. Small robots compete in a ring, attempting to push each other out.

We’ll build Mindstorms EV3 robots and program them to detect their competitor in the ring and try to push it out. We’ll also use a sensor to detect the edge of the ring to try to stay in!

At the end, we’ll have a friendly Sumobot tournament!
