Mon, February 18 - Fri, February 22
Learn to create your own characters and environments and learn how to model, texture, rig, and animate them in Blender at this series of workshops during February vacation.
Blender is a free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation. Blender is being used for all kinds of 3D art, including game design, 3D printing, short films, advertisements, TV series, and feature films.
- We will meet Monday through Friday for instruction from 10:00 to 3:30
- Early drop off is available beginning at 9:00
- Stay and work on projects until 5:00 if you wish
- Bring your lunch
- Bring your own laptop or use one of ours
This program will be followed by another series of workshops during April vacation focused on 3D game design. Students who have created art assets in Blender will be able to incorporate them into games created with the Unity game engine.
