Thank you to the generous donors who supported Holyoke Codes during Valley Gives Day in 2017! We raised $1,340 to support our programs!
More the 2,400 kids from Holyoke and the surrounding communities have learned about coding and robotics at our free workshops. We offer project-based computer science and robotics for our community of learners – kids of all ages from 5 years through high school.
We believe that all kids should have access to computer science education. Our workshops are free so anyone can come. Computers are increasingly found everywhere and we all need to be able to understand how they work. The economy of the future will be based on code; kids who are code literate will find many opportunities.
Please help support our efforts to provide coding and robotics education for everyone. Any amount helps! Your donation will be well used to inspire a new generation of thinkers and doers.
Project-based learning makes learning fun and effortless. Kids are inspired to develop skills by the relevance of projects to their world. We love seeing them engage in this process and the excitement of completing a project and presenting it to the group.
When my daughter went to her first Holyoke Codes event, she choose to work with a friend to build a robot together. It was amazing to watch them problem solve and cooperate. When it came time to demonstrate their robot to the group they were so proud of their creation. I know this opportunity gives her confidence around coding and technology she would not be able to get if it wasn’t for Holyoke Codes.
Thank you and we hope to see you at our free workshops!
